Busted!

Arrests made in P Lab bust in Auckland.
Some of the more interesting factors in this arrest of two people in Auckland are the images of the lab itself and the equipment used.
Photos show a number of glass jars, jugs, dirty towels and hand shovels spread across every surface of the house. An array of chemicals were found next to seemingly innocent finds like champagne corks, beer bottle tops – and fidget spinners.
This Auckland-wide operation busted two addresses in Mt Roskill and Albany, and a substantial amount of chemicals, glass equipment and pipes were all evident signs of use and manufacturing. Police described this as a ‘complex lab’, which as we all know has a huge knock-on effect on users in our community, and their families and loved ones.
While just one small drop in the ocean of the meth epidemic, it demonstrates that meth labs aren’t as hidden as cooks may think. Police are incredibly vigilant in this space and it’s going to become more difficult for manufacturers to hide their tracks in 2018.
